The following is a poem I wrote in April of this year. I found it in one of my journals that I was reading back through last night.<\/p>\n
When I read it, the circumstances behind its words came flooding back to me. I don’t know if you can relate to what its saying, or what you might be reading these words to mean.<\/p>\n
What I do know is, God’s writing its reprise in my life as He continues to heal in me what’s been broken. And for that, I am thankful for the experiences that wrote these words to begin with.<\/p>\n
I may have shared this before, but here it is again anyway.<\/p>\n

the memories overwhelming
\nmy heart simply can\u2019t take.<\/p>\n
there\u2019s a tightness in my throat
\ntears welling, my eyes they coat.<\/p>\n
thinking of all we used to share.
\nmy heart simply can\u2019t bear.<\/p>\n
the distance between us is a mistake.
\nbut is nothing compared to what is at stake.<\/p>\n
the thought that it could all be in vain
\nmy heart simply can\u2019t sustain.<\/p>\n
things don\u2019t seem right with you gone.
\nbut there\u2019s no sense in going on & on.<\/p>\n
you\u2019ve spoke your piece but
\nmy heart simply can\u2019t release.<\/p>\n
Lord make the memories fade.
\ni can\u2019t see why they were even made.<\/p>\n
You surely have a plan for all of this
\nthat my heart simply can\u2019t afford to miss.<\/p>\n
