Many of you probably have no idea, but earlier in my life, music was kind of a big deal. I played an instrument in band, I could read music really well and I was a classically trained vocalist. And when I first became a Christian as a teenager, God used my vocal skills (and my love for the spotlight) to lead students in worship in my church’s youth band.<\/p>\n
Even though I had lost most of my skills out of lack of training over the years, a few years ago I joined the adult worship team. But when this hit the fan<\/strong><\/a>, I left the worship team because frankly, it was too difficult for me to separate my personal loss from the new thing God was doing.<\/p>\n After over 2 years, I have really begun to miss being on team and helping usher others into worship with the Father. Everyone so often I get the inkling to return to vocal team. There is little I love more than being a part of such a ministry. But it is definitely something that will take more prayer and really, a lot more time in my schedule to figure out.<\/p>\n But this week during my visit to Portland, Jenni<\/a> asked me to help lead worship with her at Church! at Bethany<\/a>. I was so immensely honored to have to have the opportunity. I was nervous (having been so long since I’d lead vocally) but I was so glad to do it and had so much fun.<\/p>\n The video below isn’t of the actual church service, but from LifeGroup on Monday night.
