As a Kansas City-based organization, we are very close to our neighbors to the south in Oklahoma. We cannot imagine the devastation that has taken place in the aftermath of a series of horrific storms on Sunday and Monday. The pictures and video footage just don’t do it justice.<\/p>\n
The stories of children still trapped under the rubble of their elementary school, presumed dead, in the dark of night as I write this are leaving me with such immense grief.<\/p>\n
As a ministry we are coming up on our once-a-year fundraising push<\/a> in the month of June and while that is important as it relates to our present and future projects, today I feel it is more important that I ask you to please give toward the relief efforts taking place in OKC, Moore and the other surrounding Oklahoma towns that were affected by this tragedy.<\/p>\n Please continue to pray for God’s comfort and peace in the lives of those affected.
