remember giving up on a tattoo tradition and you all contributing to over $7,928 for Real Hope for Haiti?<\/a><\/p>\n

well Aaron Ivey (and his family), who brought Real Hope for Haiti to all of our attention is struggling today. He and his family are in the process of adopting 2 Haitian children. The likelihood of this adoption pulling through looks grim. We are praying for a miracle today.<\/strong><\/p>\n

here’s the prayer need he wrote on his blog today:<\/p>\n

if anyone ever tells you adoption is easy, you should punch them in the face. it\u2019s not. it\u2019s complex, difficult, emotional, and sometimes painful. getting punched in the face is easy.<\/p>\n

i\u2019m kinda speechless today. only this: we really need YOUR prayer\u2026 at this point, it is going to take a MIRACLE for this adoption of our Haitian children to happen. i can\u2019t really go into the details on here, but\u2026.gosh\u2026. things are\u2026 it\u2019s just that the hurdles of getting them here are becoming gigantic. it\u2019s just setting in that they are not ours yet, and at this point it will take the miraculous work of God to see this through. you\u2019ll just have to let me leave it at that. there\u2019s so much bureaucracy in getting all this accomplished, and it\u2019s becoming increasingly more difficult\u2026 in a nutshell, we could be denied.<\/p>\n

our hearts are heavy today. i don\u2019t know how to handle it if they do not come home. i really don\u2019t. it\u2019s DIFFICULT to even type this all, much less re-read it. my stomach hurts just thinking about it NOT happening.<\/p>\n

will you PLEASE join us in praying\u2026seriously praying\u2026asking God to do what seems impossible. for the sake of two beautiful children who already live in our hearts. we\u2019re talking moving mountains sort of stuff\u2026 please mention this in your communities, your small groups, your family, etc. (please don\u2019t blog about names of our kids, though\u2026we had to remove all that a while back).<\/p>\n
