As a Kansas City-based organization, we are very close to our neighbors to the south in Oklahoma. We cannot imagine the devastation that has taken place in the aftermath of a series of horrific storms on Sunday and Monday. The pictures and video footage just don’t do it justice.
The stories of children still trapped under the rubble of their elementary school, presumed dead, in the dark of night as I write this are leaving me with such immense grief.
As a ministry we are coming up on our once-a-year fundraising push in the month of June and while that is important as it relates to our present and future projects, today I feel it is more important that I ask you to please give toward the relief efforts taking place in OKC, Moore and the other surrounding Oklahoma towns that were affected by this tragedy.
