CONGRATS TO JOHN RIGGS… I will be gifting you the song via iTunes email in the next couple of days.

“I can’t wait until that day where the very one I’ve lived for always will wipe away the sorrow that I’ve faced… to touch the scars that rescued me from a life of shame and misery this is why this is why I sing… There will be a day with no more tears, no more pain, and no more fears. There will be a day when the burdens of this place, will be no more, we’ll see Jesus face to face.”

At Dianna’s funeral on Friday they played Jeremy Camp’s “There Will Be a Day.” While I’ve heard this song before, hearing it in the context of Dianna’s suffering on earth and her now being healed in Heaven, it brought me a lot of comfort. A lot of hope for what is to come when we are finished with the burdens of this life. With this place. And see Jesus face to face.

I found this devotional given by Jeremy Camp based on his song and the scripture it is inspired by. I encourage you to take a moment and listen to the words of Revelation 21:4 and Romans 8:18 that he shares below.

It is my hope that just as I was, you too will be comforted by this song and by these truths. Knowing that no matter that you are facing or will face in this life on earth (the trials, tribulations and hurts)… they are just temporary… as we earnestly wait for His promise to be fulfilled for all of us who seek Him.

When you are finished watching, leave a comment sharing how you were touched by these verses and/or this song – and you will then be *entered to win the single “There Will Be a Day” as an iTunes gift from me to you.

*please only enter once. entries will be taken until 11pm (CST) today, at which point comments will be closed. watch for drawing announcement on wednesday.
