Unmasking Shame: Pathways for Shame Resilience Intensive with Therapist, Janine Deal

Tuesdays for 4 Weeks beginning October 22, 2024 at 7:00pm CDT

We’re all ashamed of our shame. Which is exactly why no one wants to talk about it. But what if doing exactly that is the way to combat it? The feeling of shame is something all of us are familiar with, but how does it actually impact us, specifically in terms of our mental, emotional, and spiritual health? Unidentified shame can wreak havoc on our internal narrative about ourselves and our relationships, yet few people are equipped to identify, face, and combat the sneaky and often subtle voices of shame.

In this 4-week intensive, facilitated by therapist Janine Deal, we will take a closer look at the origins of shame and differences between shame and guilt, the neurobiology of shame and how it shows up in our bodies and minds, the intersections of addictions and toxic shame, and offer research and tools for turning unhealthy shame into more productive, healthy, and integrated core beliefs and values.

What’s Included:

  • (4) 90-minute weekly group sessions (virtual) with Janine Deal
  • PDF download of group curriculum / homework questions
