If you’re saying to yourself, “I want to help with the disaster caused by the Haiti earthquake but don’t where to begin,” might I suggest:

Compassion International

The catastrophic earthquake that hit Haiti on January 12 has resulted in unfathomable chaos and devastation for hundreds of thousands of children and families. Compassion sponsors and donors serve more than 65,000 children in Haiti. At least a third of them live in the areas that were hardest hit.

I am asking you to please send a generous gift today to help precious children and their families, and to encourage others to give to Compassion International through your blog, Facebook and Myspace pages, Twitter account and e-mail. Please utilize every online tool you have access to. The people of Haiti desperately need our help and hope.

Since your in KC, I thought I would pass this opportunity along:

There is a group collecting formula to be taken to Haiti today until 3 PM. These wonderful people have been working to get orphans out of Haiti. Some orphans are out, but all others need to be taken care of now.

Drop off is at the IHOP Mission Base. Anyone who donates needs to ask for Randy at the front desk.
