Kansas City’s 9th annual Light The Night Walk will be held Friday, September 15th, in conjunction with Leukemia & Lymphoma Awareness Month. The Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s nationwide evening walk to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer and will be held in over 300 cities across America this year during September.
I’m participating in the walk in memory of my friend Brandon Eastland and in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancer. As a participant in the walk, we are raising money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and I’m asking you to help by making a contribution. We would appreciate your support. Each donation helps accelerate cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma and brings hope to the patients and families who are on the front lines of the battle against these diseases.
Please use the link below to donate online, quickly and securely. You will receive a confirmation by email of your donation and I will be notified as soon as you make your donation. You can learn more about my efforts and make a donation by visiting the following Web site:

On behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, thank you very much for your support. I really appreciate your generosity!
P.S. Please forward this on to as many people as you can to encourage them to donate as well! If you’d like to learn more about the Light The Night Walk, please visit http://www.lightthenight.org

Did you know that:
- Every five minutes, someone in this country is diagnosed with blood cancer: Every ten minutes, someone loses the fight.
- Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children.
- Lymphomas are the most common blood cancers.
- The myeloma survival rate is only 32 percent.
Your participation will help save lives: more than 712,145 adults and children are currently living with a blood cancer. Someone new is diagnosed every 5 minutes: someone dies every 10 minutes.
ARGH!! Why can’t they do the walk after October 1st, when I get paid?!?! I’ll pray for lots of money for you…
