I am leaving for the airport right now to head down to Houston, TX. Like I mentioned previously, my grandpa is ill. He’s not a Christian nor has been the “takes ya for ice cream” kind of grandpa if you know what I mean. He’s a former abusive alchoholic who has verbally manipulated everyone in his life. He’s very aggressive. Cold & bitter. He needs salvation and since his days on earth seem to be coming to an end, my prayer is that my mom and I are able to show him Christ’s love in a way he’s never experienced before. None of us deserve Heaven but I am reminded of the thief on the cross next to Jesus. God is merciful and shows us more grace than any one of us deserves – even at the end of the road.
Pray that all of us are able to have a good time together. That this quick trip would be full of fond memories and not memories of bitterness and regret.
Love you!
Crystal
PS. If I can pirate an internet connection from one of my grandma’s neighbors, I will update! (:

I used to live in Houston, and my dad still does.
Be safe and be blessed.
I juts said a quick pray “jesus, help her and her mom to be the light” .

good luck. I truly believe that my grandpa had a “thief on the cross” moment right before he died. I’ll say a prayer for you!
