the last time i’m writing…

i know it has been a little while since i have, but today marks the last day i will speak of the crisis… dun dun duh… at least as it refers to my “victimization”, anything to do with how hurt i was… or how dramatic the aftermath seems to be. these are all negative reactions to an already difficult and sensitive situation.

i want to be a giver of hope and life. claiming victory. not someone who brings people down. not someone who gives the enemy a foothold to take advantage of vulnerability.

i believe 2008 will be a banner year for healing. for better days but not without hardship mind you. trials of many kinds are inevitable, but to be taken with stride. considering it pure joy. to stand and fight in midst of it, instead of retreating, hiding and giving into the enemy’s desire for me to react.

my prayer for 2008:
Father, the spiritual warfare among us here is too great. my prayer is that enemy wouldn’t have even a strand of hair to hold on to. he’s had far too great a grasp – for far too long. my prayer is that his assignment on me personally, at Westside (in the Church) and in the aftermath of the crisis is hereby ended now. let it no longer be a crutch. that we’d be obediently covered by ephesians 6. that leaders would be humble in their decisions. free from self-serving ideas. that unrighteousness would be called out. that we’d be supportive as staff and also as a congregation. unified together for one purpose. obediently covering each other in protective prayer. that God’s will for the future of Westside (and kingdom churches as a whole) would be our focus above any earthly desire for more money, more people… more anything. do what YOU will with us. as Your word promises, do immeasurably more than we can dare ask or imagine. and show us what in ourselves needs to change in order for that to happen. free us from the bondage of sin and self-gratification. mature and complete, let us lack nothing! in the Name of Jesus… kick the enemy on outta here. and let Your Will be done. Give us the patience to see it through and bring us peace as we wait. in Your Mighty Name, Amen.

yes, it is a dangerously powerful prayer. but i feel it is our responsibility as the Body.
the Church needs some rebel prayer warriors, ya’ll. :)

I wish everyone was loved tonight
And somehow stop this endless fight
Just a chance that maybe we’ll find better days

So take these words
And sing out loud
Cuz everyone is forgiven now
Cuz tonight’s the night the world begins again
