blockage

as if you couldn’t tell, i am having trouble finding things to write/blog about lately. if it hadn’t been for the needs of this orphanage in haiti, i wouldn’t have posted anything of substance since like mid-May. even my guest post on rich’s blog was a repeat from 2006.

i have all these thoughts in my head but nothing is coming out. thoughts about the Church, my job, friendships, ministry woes, and just a ton of other things. i sat with my computer for a good while yesterday, waiting for some thoughts to formulate…but again, nothing.

what the heck is wrong with me? if you would, please bear with me… don’t forget me. i hope something will come together here in the next day or so.

if you have some wonderful topic idea… let me have it! i could use the help.

sigh.

oh, please pray for the team from my church on their way to mexico right now (through june 12). please pray for their safety, stamina and witness to the community.

  1. I think, like many bloggers including myself, you are suffering from Twitteritis. Each tweet is just a tiny bit of creativity, of useful thought. It’s like a slow leak. Instead of saving up all of our stuff for a great blog post, it slowly leaks out of us throughout the day. Then when it’s time to post…nada. Zilch. Zip. The slow leak has taken away critical mass.

    Yup, that’s it. Twitteritis.

  2. Blog about…your best friend. And why you are best friends.

No kidding, I made that up on the spot.

  3. Here’s what I do when I don’t feel like I have anything to write: 1. remember that blogging is for you. 2. Don’t turn on the radio or music in the car – just sit in silence….blog posts will rattle in your head and start to pour out!

  4. I’m sure you’ve got much more to say…sometimes the best medicine for writers block, is not saying anything at all.

Looking forward to whats to come,

    Will

  5. Hey, I found you via Anne Jackson’s video blog about the tattoos. Very cool.

Here’s a suggestion: How about you do an interview with a Christian tattoo artist. That could be fun.

  6. How about looking at the book of James and blogging about how that makes you feel… we just ended a quick study last week on this, and it was one of my favorite studies yet.
