Ministry Year in Review
2015: A Year of Growth | 2016: A Year of New Vision
Between joining a gym and losing 30 pounds, I have taken some much needed strides in making my overall health a priority. I also entered the last year of my bachelor’s program at Liberty University and will complete my coursework in March. I am eager to be finished with this chapter and look forward to applying for grad school this spring. For the last 16 weeks, I have completed my senior psychology internship at Advice & Aid Pregnancy Centers. It has been such a blessing to get to serve these women and their unborn babies. Walking women through the hardest decision of their lives is so humbling. And being there to see these women choose life for their babies is witnessing a miracle every single time. What a joy it has been to serve there.
Ministry Year in Review
At Dirty Girls Ministries, we’ve established a discipleship approach to our recovery program. Each woman who joins our community is now automatically enrolled in our 90 Days to Wholeness devotional. For 90 days, women receive a daily email containing a scripture, an application, and a reflection question that they are encouraged to discuss in our online community forum. Not only does this provide women with daily accountability, but more importantly, it provides them with daily scripture that specifically applies to the struggles they are facing. For many of these women, it is the first time they’ve been told how much God loves them, that they aren’t alone in their struggles, and there’s hope for their recovery.
Over 800 women have already enrolled in 90 Days to Wholeness. Now it is a required aspect of our membership and intentionally used to disciple them. It’s bringing a whole new life to our community involvement. Click here to learn more about our membership and discipleship process.
Check out this testimonial from Aubrey about her experience leading one of our new DG recovery groups earlier this fall:
In August of 2015, we put on Whole Women Weekend. This was our third conference in four years and took place in Forest Hill, MD after a year of planning. It was an incredible time of healing for so many women. Our keynote speaker was Annie Lobert, founder of Hookers for Jesus. Her testimony impacted the women who attended in ways we could never have imagined. Worship led by Jenny Miller was dynamic and powerful. And all of our amazing workshop presenters provided content specifically targeted to the needs of the hearts of the women who attended. We recently released the recordings online for even more women to experience and learn from.

Additionally in 2015, we spent a large part of the year networking with ministries and counselors to help give our message more exposure, including exhibiting at the National Christian Counselors Conference in Nashville, TN. It was an event attended by nearly 7,000 counselors and ministry leaders. It was incredible how many counselors we met who did not even realize that sexual addiction was an issue for women. It was eye-opening for us to see how much stigma still exists, even among professionals!
We continue to run into opposition in this field. We know that is because we’re infringing upon the enemy’s territory full of brokenness, shame, and pain — but we’re armed with love, grace, and mercy. God is with us and goes before us.
2016 & Beyond: New Name, New Programs, New Lives!
In 2016, we have a lot of exciting plans. One big thing is a rebranding of our umbrella ministry, Whole Women Ministries, in an effort to expand to our programs. We are working on a name change that will open us up to the inclusion of men. While Dirty Girls Ministries and Whole Women Weekend wll remain exclusively for women, the organization Step Out in Love Ministries directed by Karol Adams, will now fall under our rebranded umbrella. This organization serves both men and women. We are excited to share more with you about this partnership and name change soon. And all in good time!
One additional program we are working on is a conference exclusively for Christian singles. This coed event which will encourage singles to pursue their God-given purpose in the church and beyond. So many singles are simply waiting for marriage before pursuing the call God has for their lives. There’s no time to wait! Wow, am I ever excited about this conference. Details to come soon.
All of these plans make your prayers and support mean so much more! We simply could not do anything without your generosity and God’s grace: past, present, or future. Please think of us with a year-end gift to help us kick off 2016 with a bang. Any gift of any size matters and is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. All financial gifts much be post-marked or received by December 31, 2015 for 2015 tax year.
Blessings at Christmas and in the New Year!
With thanks,
